How To Solve For Meridian Angle

If the LHA of the sun is 270°, what is the meridian angle? 

Given:

           270° - local hour angle of the sun

What is asked?

            Solve for the meridian angle 

Solution:

             Local  hour angle (LHA): Angular distance measured Westerly from the Local Celestial Meridian ( M ) to the body up to 360°. 

             Meridian angle: Angular distance measured East or West from the Local Celestial Meridian ( M ) to the body up to 180°. 


So the answer is 90° E.
